Birthday, wrapping & winter solstice

Last Friday before Christmas, they say the biggest shopping day of the year. I would avoid that day at all costs lol. Instead I tried a new cappuccino using egg nog and it was very good.

It was then on to finishing an unnamed project, another coat of paint on the wooden hooks, sanded and completed it before starting a new project.

Seeing I had the white on the brush I painted another Bombay chest.

Today is also winter solstice, the shortest day of the year and Mom's birthday. So much on this 21st day of December. Happy birthday Mom! It is a lovely plus 5 day at the end of December.

The Bombay chest was painted a 2nd coat, sanded and dark waxed, another completed project.

Time to move onto a procrastinated job, present wrapping. I successfully got it all done and found I was only short a couple stuffers, yay! It also helped unclutter the spare room too. The darn treat tin Natasha gave me is nearly empty though. I may need to join Shaina's boot camp once she is back in action.

nearly empty now

I did accounting and worked on new How to blog posts while watching Ellen's comedy special on Netflix, have you watched it? I then moved to my comfy bed and watched a few Netflix episodes till almost 2 am. The moon was shining bright on this longest night!
