store front??

Awake at 5:45 as Sheldon was getting up for work it was raining.. on October 14.. but there was ice once it landed. He said it rained all the way and icy to work. I let D out at 6:15 as he rolled back in for his forgotten phone and more coffee.

I was off to town about 9:40 to meet the fellow painter gal to run to the city to research store front options. The roads were ok but the sky was gloomy and drizzly still. Our first stop was the Inside Avenue Antique mall in Calgary. It was full of old things but seemed gloomy and so quiet. We made an impulse stop at Uniquities, an uber cool but so pricey salvage house.

A return at Value Village found us both loading treasures into her car then off to McDonalds for a quick bite to eat.  We both ordered off the touch screen menu boards.. crazy!

The sun was now out and 8!! Our next destination was Airdrie: they had a sweet antique store right next to the Where on Earth Did You Find That mall we checked out first. Our next couple hours were spent in this 15,000 sq ft market mall and in the end we came out with treasures and a contract to read over if we want to set up shop there. The ride home was full of ideas and plans but back to dreary and overcast.

Before journeying to the ranch I stopped to mail a package to the Illingworth's in the UK, grab groceries for baker B and try and find a drawer slide for the cream dresser. 6:30 I pulled thru the gates and Sheldon was kind enough to open the yard gate for me. Britt cut up the groceries I brought and finished her homemade potato soup , had toasted BLT's and had a flapper pie made for dessert!! Yeah B!!

She had to pack up soon after and get back to Olds as the bus leaves for Canmore at 7 am for a school vet conference. Sheldon was off to watch hockey game while I worked on ordering business cards as we are planning to go ahead with the store plans!
