open house.. success

I forgot to share the 2 windows beside each other.. they are quite different but oddly enough they're a hair difference in size too.

Another early weekend morning, this time big D wanted out at 7:45. Coffee and whip up a couple loaves of banana bread started my day. Tidy and prepare for the open house.

I took the dogs for a walk to the gate to hammer up the sign and of course it started to rain/snow and quit after we returned. ;/

 check out the great driving skills of someone.. would the guilty party report to Sheldon as he has a few words to share ..even flattened the reflector post!

and the naughty ponies are digging for grass roots and destroying their paddocks, grrr

 of course the cats have to try and catch up but always on the way back

I decided to start the sealing process on the dresser and got about and hour and a half in almost finishing it before Amanda arrived around 1 bringing a tea, YUMMY thanks!! It would have been shorter but on the last drawer I decided to distress the edges, sooo much harder on the nearly dry ones! It seems Britt was home at noon and I totally missed that. We laid out her romper and savored our tea as the first guest arrived for the open house, Dear miss Sharon. We all had a wee catch up then she ans I went down to the store. A gal who messaged last week for the armoire called and it was not long before they arrived to pick it up. In the meantime Lynda had arrived and was visiting with Britt and AJ upstairs and as they headed out with armoire, Gail and her mom arrived. Great visits with good friends and in the end 6 less things on the sale list, one being the monster piece (what was the bet on that one again Sheldon ;)

By 5:30 all were headed home leaving Britt and I. She had requested kale chips so I made them to go with her can of mushroom soup. We eat fancy here folks! Soon she was asleep on the couch as I updated all my spreadsheets and pages. Seems her night out last night left her much under the weather so she was promptly asleep on the couch after eating, planning to stay the night and leave for school in the morning.
