voting day

Today is voting day and I awoke with a headache, is that a bad sign? The day was fairly slow with cleaning, top coating the white ruler, it is now finished and getting trees out for sunshine. I unhooked the trailer and got ready to head to town. Britt was excited to vote for her first time. I met her at our usual polling station only to find we were moved to the rural one.
look, out of 90 planted I have 1 tulip!!

Not wanting to waste my in town trip I filled with petro, got an ice cap, checked for more ruler boards at Rona (yep still out, well there was one there but it was a cracked) and restocked on dog food at Walmart.. why cant puppy food come bigger than 7 kg, seems we buy a bag weekly ;( then was off home. Britt went to the gym and was home when I arrived so we loaded up and drove to our new polling station.

Back at the ranch, we caught Bird & Hawk for dewormer, then Switch got some and a front trim (well just one front side was trimmed the rest was smoothed after her many miles over rocky terrain). The skinny pen also got food but Bird never ate the bean pole. Britt caught KD to ride and she was given her dose. Britt's friend Jayden came out and they caught Daisy for him to ride. Lola joined them on there property trek.
miss switch happy to be home

Hawk looking fit in a diet pen and weekly lessons

I found this yesterday when horses were out eating, first one area then came back and more ;( so for now I vet wrapped it, if this poor tree lives it has a heart of gold, it has been hailed on, broke off by the picker truck while building the shop, cat clawed and now horse eaten

I tried watering the grass but by now the wind was blowing much harder. The morning was sunny and nice, the afternoon overcast but warm breeze and then later sunny but windier. I made a full meal supper but Britt went back to town with Jayden early for ball and missed out. Sheldon pulled in just after though so after a quick nap he joined me for a yummy home cooked meal. He ran to vote after supper. Unfortunately the girls cant vote in the city as they are registered to our polling station and did not change nor have documents with new address.

Now Britt and I basically walked in and voted but Sheldon had a long line up at the little rural poll, note to self, don't go after supper/work. He made it back just in time for the Flames game. The night had some interesting turns with NDP coming into power after 44 years of PC ruling and the flames pull off a win on an overtime win! Britt had to endure the terrible wind during ball but it got even worse as the evening rolled on. How we all dislike the wind!
