Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mothers day to all, my Mom, MIL, sisters, SIL's aunties and Grandma! Britt was up banging around the kitchen at 9:30 then off to work. I was lucky enough to have creamed coffee in bed followed with french toast and scrambled eggs from the Prince! The morning was VERY laid back with updating the blog and posting pics on facebook. Sheldon caught up on sports and news but after a chat with Mom we both headed outside.
Time to start more tree watering, a rain dance is sorely needed and sure on most Mom's wish list for today. It was rather blustery and overcast to start so we did some measuring in the tack room then Sheldon set about to finish the top portion left while I dark waxed the trunk. By 2 the sun peeked out and wind died a bit so I fed the horses and headed in for a shower.

Sheldon popped in for a shower once boards were up and we enjoyed a refreshing beverage in celebration of Mother's we know and love. Britt made it home after 4 and jumped in the shower before we were able to leave.

We made a quick stop at Chinook to do a return and grab a tie for Britt's escort before getting to the girls place. They had a cold beer and fresh guacamole ready, so delicious Kaylin!! They also had fresh flowers, David's chai tea and a bag of goodies XOXOX
above from Kaylin, Shaina & Aaron, THANK YOU, and below additions from Dad! XOXO
Time to load up all in the Buick and off to try fresh sushi at Globe Fish, a favorite of the girls. Sheldon and I found fresh sushi interesting and better than anticipated, thanks for buying Dad! Kaylin did make reservation and do all the food ordering, thanks lovey.

The next stop was dessert at their favorite Menchies but after testing 3 frozen yogurt types I was not a fan, especially covered in candy. I did find the pineapple sorbet Kaylin ordered ok and would have worked with fruit but hands down prefer banana split blizzard or Yogenfruz.

We then went back to their place to watch the Flames game that ended up going into overtime sadly with a loss. This made for a late drive home getting back around midnight to feed the dogs and get ready for bed. Britt was distraught the tie did not MATCH the dress once home and fretted till late.

here are a couple photos Sheldon took via his cell while seeding yesterday he wants to share
