Wow, still dark 6 am and I hear truck and the door, it is Britt off to Olds College open house day! I mange to catch a few more winks before getting up to a blazing sun over frosty ground. It was a cool sight like living on the Serengeti! However the day eventually became overcast and windy.
Britt enjoyed her open house, sadly one of the very few children there with NO parent, sorry B and she eve considered equine sciences instead of vet tech. This caused me to contact our vet overseeing her volunteer hours and my good friend Tracey, a vet in Oyen and both hands down said stay with vet tech. Once she arrived home we chatted it over and she will most likely stick to vet tech. She is stoked about living in the new res and pursuing her planned career, YEAH B, proud moment.
I spent the day dark waxing the tall dresser and loved it in the end. It looks so vintage, the hardware color works perfect and it is a huge favorite. It was made by furniture Pennsylvania House furniture company with all solid brass hardware, solid wood construction including drawer dust covers and a cool divided drawer.
I finished up a bunch of items and staged to post as well as a start a few more.
I began work on another mirror.. trying a layered technique but it was an epic fail at one stage so basically painted it all over again and will let dry until tomorrow.
Britt headed to work at the gym soon after getting home, this is going to be one tired kid by the end of the w/e as in the am we have to be in town by meet the polocrosse club by 8 AM with all snacks bought and ready to go. YUCK! We will do a clinic south east of Hanna for the day.
