1031 - white washed desk success

Day 1031 I was up by 8, it is teacher convention for Britt so next two days of school off. Only 1 day she went this week, lucky girl. I woke her after 10 as she was to head over to Stouts to get dog pill instructions and brought Chanel back with her to stay with us while they are on a mini vacation.

I worked on the matching table I found to create another white washed desk. Sanding alone took nearly 2 hours then it was painting time. I also sanded, scrubbed and painted a low pine coffee table in more of a barn board color. And an barn board was scrubbed and readied for another rack.
before a lovely orange color and after fully sanded down to nice pine

above new table and below the painted one, only now I realized they were a wee bit different
Shaina was off to work for 11 while Britt read all day but headed to work for 5:30. I continued on the paint job of the tables then took a break for supper. Britt was home just after 7:30 and back to her book.
so here are together.. note the newly painted is on wood blocks and not waxed but this was the staged I stopped to get client satisfaction.. which she did before proceeding to wax
I went back out and put first coat of wax on the table and painted the low coffee table  a layer of white and grey on the base after a quick sand on the top. I am liking the barn board look, what do you think?
time for a hot bath and reading for the night after another busy day!
