Projects completed

I woke at my usual 8:15. Harley was quietly sleeping no early out!! Not long after Dave sent Cooper through the door and he was off. It was a brr -8 foggy start snow covered today. I sent the cats out after feeding much to their chagrin. We did a couple brain games with a coffee in bed to start. S stayed there for awhile longer.

I got busy on the sideboard. It was lightly sanded and buffed. The hardware was oiled with the rag then put on. While I ran out for the hardware I put another coat of stain on Kristie's table tops. S tried to set up the Enmax services and perused the inter web.

A post was written on Hometalk for the rice paper cancer tray. Soup and the news was next. S then loaded up equipment and off to town for Monday shinny. The sun popped back out so I took the dogs for a walk. I also shoveled all the sidewalks, hauled the chairs down from mezzanine I sold and filled the cats food. The last 2 days had zero exercise on my watch ;(.

It was also soak all orchid plants day, Thanks Ma K for the reminder.

I screwed the tops back on the nesting tables. Needing a new project I hauled out the antique oval coffee table. I searched for replacement toe caps but they are so $$$. Especially when the top after all the work still has ripply veneer in the center. I decided to just bonds the feet and sand to a shape. Once I got it going I found the base legs were not creating a level surface. One was screwed and glued, one was higher and creating the unlevel-ness. I spent the next hour trying to get a loose leg that was higher off with no luck. It ended with me gluing a chunk back in place aster it broke off trying to leverage. This poor little table is in fought shape. S arrived home as I was struggling with it before 4. He says “ I bet someone fell on it” LOL very well could be.

Shinny created a thirst so we came in for him to chug a beer and I to try my new light tonic. It is such a tiny can :) but only 20 calories. Supper started with a tasty spinach salad. I followed it up with fried liver with lots of fried onions for S. He chipped in and microwaved the steamed dumplings. Americas Got Talent was our entertainment. B had troubles again with her car collecting snow and ice making imbalanced. She had to find a car wash in NE after having supper at the mall. We had a hot tub soak at 8:30. No stars tonight. B arrived after we were showered. She fed her horse and headed home at 10 leaving Cooper here for the night since so late already. We were watching a few more Car Master episodes.
