Busy project day at the ranch

I woke briefly at 4:30 then 5:45 with a text from S answering questions I sent last night when he obviously fell asleep. Good news his Flames won! I had stuck a couple treats in his bag that he had yet to find so that and phone update suggestions kept the texts going until he was off to work at 6:30. I made coffee today to listen to some podcasts while getting ready for the day. H went out at 8 and waited patiently for her breakfast while I did a quick bit of marketing. A saddle blanket was thrown in to the garage wash and onto finishing the end table transfers on the last side. H was sent out with some rib bones much to her happiness.

All sides were sealed up with clear coat and onto the table base being painted warm white. I came in for lunch making a favorite spinach and fruit salad after applying another clear coat. I then headed out to harrow the pastures but the quad was not starting and backfiring so I left a message with S and carried on with another project; tree trimming. This took 2 hours pruning and shaping and stacking in the wheelbarrow.

S called around 2:30 and had me haul over a battery charger and cords after it again would not start but seemed to be draining the battery. Again nothing so I left it and went back inside to put a second coat on table base after a cold beer to celebrate national beer day and a puffed wheat (THANKS MOM!!).

The end table table had dark wax added and clear on the top. The hardware was scrubbed up too. Back outside I tried the quad again, still no luck. More tree trimming ensued with the ones by the shop including the HUGE pussy willow.

Back in the garage I flipped the table top over and put the base back on then the legs and flipped again to leave all to dry before the top coats go on the top in a couple days.

I actually cooked supper tonight. I had taken out beef sausage on Tuesday as Shaina thought she might bring a load of her stuff out seeing she had to move out of the house sitting gig tomorrow but she did not come. I added pasta and tomatoes along with leftover cabbage to go with it. I was cooking it up when B arrived to feed. Tonight she just fed and moved them across to the water before heading home after 7 as not feeling well.

The end table was hauled in to stage tomorrow. Seeing H and I spent time outdoors trimming and her time with Cooper and the winds I skipped our evening walk. I did some more research on vacation ideas for a quick trip for my birthday. I changed to go soak in the hot tub only to find J greeting me. Oopps that part was skipped seeing the walk was skipped. I went and grabbed their food and put them away for the night then had a soak. Inside I showered and hit the sheets hoping to get a good nights sleep with the aid of a sleep podcast.
