eclipse not seen here

Poor Lexi had a rough night, she was up every hour or so to go out with a tummy ache and constipation it seems. I had cleaned up about 5 puke spots after getting home yesterday and seems a couple in the night on the deck. At one point she came in and lept in the tub I left full :) (Kaylin warned me I should drain it and woke to say she told me so) So she needed a dry and snuggle too.

Britt was off to work at her usual 6:45 am and Kaylin slowly headed off just after 7. I was up early with Lex too so made coffee and got working on the blog and photos from the weekend. Around 10:30 I went out to put the horses in the new paddock to eat as the old ones are BARE. I got 3 in easily but 3 others decided to go for a run.

I got the quad out of the shop and set off after them. Lexi raced to catch me and became my co-pilot for the rest of the morning. It was a bit of a juggle to lead Pepper, balance her and drive but we managed. The other 2 girls got put in the round pen for bad behavior.

I waited forever for the sun to go out but nothing here. No darkness, just 24 degree sunshine. I watered planters, garden and flower beds as everything continues to dry right out. There was no rain here over he weekend ;( I continued horse and people laundry. After lunch I moved the horses back to the paddocks. Lexi and I went to the fence break and did a minor repair to hold until the boss man gets home. Somehow she managed to find a big juicy horse pie and rolled in it covering most of her body.. I hosed her outside and then hauled her in for a bath.

Lex got to come along to Murray's, she was stoked

I caught Bird and Switch at 6:30 and while waiting for Britt let them graze and continued my cleaning run; the poop out of the trailer. Britt text to meet her in town as running a bit late so I loaded them and grabbed her on the way by to Murray's. Once again he found the cause of Switch's intermittent lameness; a pinched nerve in her neck affecting her locking nerve in her leg. He adjusted Bird and coached Britt thru her first adjustments. Yeah, hopefully she can continue to learn more on this as Bird is a chronic chiropractic project.

I dropped B back at her car and she ran for cold medicine while I continued home. I let out the girls then went out and opened all the gates to let them together in all the paddocks. They are pretty much devoid of anything living and green ;( I was coming back in when B got back. Lexi arrived back covered in poop again! I gave her another quick wash after Kaylin made it home after 9 so she could cuddle in beds. Prince arrived home around 11 at his usual time. Kaylin came to say hi and he was soon off to sleep.
