canister chaos

Another lovely 24 day but still need rain. Sheldon went to get a load of water after his breakfast to water the dying grass while I got busy in the garage. I could now glue the chair legs in place and replace the screws before painting up the canister set. I went with a blue milk paint then sanded and added a lighter blue green wash.

A cold beverage and sausage lunch break was had before he was off for more water and I was back painting the chair a lichen green.

I finished the rustic bench blog post I started last night, Sheldon got ready and was off to the city at 3:30 to meet his friend Dan for the Stamps game. I went back out to work on the canisters and chair but found the canisters were still chipping and looking crappy on the lids. The touch up side were the same so an hour later I had them all scrubbed clean to start over. ;( I did paint the seat of the chair and sand distress the edges, I guess one project is working.

I had Britt detour thru town to grab supper. I went out in the now 26 sunshine and did some weeding till she arrived at 7:30 with Vietnamese, our favorite. She was off to her room to spend a quiet Friday night catching up on rest. I detailed the green chair with dark wax, one successful project for the day.

dark wax on 2 left spindles right are solid green

The bench I posted today and it sold in a couple hours with a list of  interested so will make more for sure. I was marketing when Sheldon got home from the football game at 11.
