metallic monday

Sheldon was off north early. I was up early too and decked out in my insulated coveralls (it is -13 and windy!), cleaning her ears, dosing Lola up with drugs then walking the dogs. Diego was not happy with the cold and complained his feet were freezing most of the way around. Maybe he needs plastic bag boots too ;). But we saw a pretty sunrise.

Back inside I made coffee and checked my emails and drew the winner for the Country Chic paint draw. A gal from the states was the winner.

It was sunny all day but the wind howled. I stayed in the garage working on a plethora of projects. The kids table was tightened up and sanded all down.

I tried hooking to my shop vac but think an connector would be handier then holing hose and sander at same time

Metallics were in the works: one jar received a bronze makeover to look like a copper mercury glass tutorial but it did not pan out so well.

Another got a silver makeover

And a frame was painted in two metallic colors, 3 if you count the test strip of bronze.

I cross hatched some of the steel color over the bronze on the jar and it looks much better. I caught Beiber on Ellen while painting a jewelry box a light purple and then later the champagne metallic over it.

The dogs and I went to a sunset walk, sadly sunset is around 4:30. We checked the complaining cat's food dish too. Now the frame was dry, I flipped it and installed chicken wire then painted the back in a soft grey. Pictures of all projects worked on today coming tomorrow. Cuddled up in my big comfy bed I caught up on a few This Is Us, who else watches this one?
