964 - big cleaning day and a wee bit of baking

Day 964, I thought I was smart sending Diego out at midnight but Shaina was home soon after and put him in although it was still very warm and chinooky out. He barked and complained for over an hour... this dog needs his own door and house so next winter it is the shop or else :-0)

Once I was up after 9, and he was still resting of course I got busy cleaning. The lack of interest on my Creative Moments page has me discouraged so directed attention to my home. There was finally a big on the charity auction but it was from my eldest darling daughter :-) First project, clean the pantry!
below is a fraction of the cup I myself saved (tea comes double cupped) for say a family get together but it is a reality check of how much we frequent Tims for his delicious teas
Shaina headed to the gym and stayed to cover until 3. The pantry lead to organize the storage room food shelf. The young girl who commissioned the mirror stopped in late afternoon just as Shaina was getting home.
I also made another batch of shower cleaner and gave it a good scrub

Britt had been doing homework so suggested she go for a ride as the weather was amazing at plus 5. Off she went to grab trusty Pepper but it was not long before Mr Jenkins decided to go along for a ride too.

I made some saltine toffee to give our neighbors with their Christmas cards. It was easy but not to self, only one thin layer of crackers, don't add small pieces to sides and put in center of oven and watch like a hawk.

Shaina got ready and was off to work for 5, Britt grabbed supper before she drove to town to watch a hockey game around 6:45. She was home around 9:30 as fluffy snow started to fall. I watched The Help, one of my favorite books and movies.

Shaina called at 11:30 to say the visibility and roads were terrible, soon she called back to say she was indeed stuck at the gate. I donned some big boots and in my housecoat headed down. It was really coming down big and fluffy. Unfortunately this time the enclave did not pull it out right away but being dark and snowing heavily we locked it up and left it to get out tomorrow.
