Day 958 Britt woke up late so was in a panic starting car, dressing
and heading to town in the blowing wind. It was -5 though. After a hot coffee Sheldon ran tire to town to
be fixed. I went to the garage in my comfy housecoat and painted 2nd coat of
varathane and blue on the cabinet.
Shaina got up and putzed around not having to work until 5. Sheldon and I headed to the city by 11:30 for a tire appointment for my car. He dropped me at value village then took the car in and met me for lunch at Oriental Phoenix. Sam me us there to get our raffle tickets, thanks Sam! We made a quick stop at another thrift store before Sheldon went to check on the car and me back to VV.
However there was nothing quick about to happen, by now t was 3 and they told Sheldon that the tires were not actually in stock! He walked back down to help me carry parcels, dropped them at the car and carried on to the mall for some retail therapy. Thank goodness the weather was -4 and somewhat nice for lots of walking!
hats Sheldon liked and ornaments I sent AJ for Ada;s first Christmas
Eventually they called saying the tires were on so he walked back, got the car and returned to the mall. We checked out a few more stores before hurrying to our movie selection, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire and enjoying popcorn, licorice and ice tea as our supper! It was a long movie not finishing till just before 8 so we scurried to Costco to load up before grabbing a hot beverage at Tims and heading east.
We arrived home just after 9:30 to find Grama and Papa and recently arrived so after unpacking all the treasures we enjoyed a few cold brews and a visit hitting the sheets at midnight! Whew what a long date day! Shaina headed to stay overnight at Kaylin's after her work shift ended at 11:30 pm.
