878 - beautiful trail ride

Day 878 again I was up early. Last night I caught the netflix bug and started watching Dexter. It was after 1 am when I shut down having watching first 2 1/2 episodes of season 1. Shaina who miraculously stayed home last night text before 9 asking what time we were leaving to trail ride so I watched a couple more episodes before Britt got home at 10:30 from her sleepover at Brooke's and Shaina decided to get up having went back to sleep.

We all got snacks and drinks packed up along with the horses and were out of the yard just before noon. A detour to Langdon for fuel then off to Little Elbow. What a gorgeous day for a ride. It was over 20 in the mountains although 4 degrees less than home. Shaina took Baby for her maiden trail ride and after the first few water crossings she was an old pro. Hawk and Pepper were great as usual. We even ran into a few fellow polocrossers on the trail.

We rode for just over 2 hours and were back at the trailer and loaded up heading for home at 4:30 making it to the ranch by 6. What a nice day in the beautiful sunshine and mountains. We are truly blessed to have them so close.

Lexi greeted us as Kaylin and Aaron are at a local wedding and staying the night. The girls showered up and Shaina was off to town by 8 and Britt headed to Cross Iron with friends for movie night. Me, I watched more Dexter shutting it down early at 11. It was another non sleeping night with dogs and kids. Britt came home around 1:15 bringing Shaina,  around 2:15 Kaylin arrived, Coco wanting out around 2:30 and back in around 3:30 and then Aaron around 3:45.. lol good thing I shut it down early!
