Last day of summer 2022

Cool 3 degree blustery day with more frost on the horse apples but did not freeze any plants yet. I let out the horses, Stella then fed H and came in to S making coffee. After one cup in bed, he went and let the boys out of the barn. I got to marketing for a bit then picked a bag of apples for Donna and Les who arrived at 11 to pick up the coffee table. They had a short visit then made their way home.

this week's gift with service, last week was a jumbo zucchini :)

I hauled in the rocking chair that I had conditioned the bottom and added more wax to stage. Of course, I saw a spindle ding that made me crazy so wood filled it to touch up paint later.

A new customer arrived with her 2 little girls to drop off an antique dresser to be done. We then spent time deciding colors showing her the dresser in the basement which solidified her choice to white not pink. She loaded up her girls and was off and will bring a vanity another day.

Just look at this tasty freshly made by Les last night loaf!! Perfect addition to our lunch. Thanks Les.. and Donna :)

Time for lunch with the news. Plans for the day have morphed as it has been sunny but oh so windy. S and I headed back to the shop to purge, sort and rearrange. We finished up and I came in at 3:30 after bringing 4 chairs over to paint for the Paetz's to post items and he donned his mask and blower and gave the place a "sweep". Once done he was in to relax on the couch chatting with a coworker as I continued the online work then did the rocking chair touch up.

S requested goulash for supper so as I cooked that up I filled more spots on the rocking chair. After supper S was off to town for a rodeo meeting and I to sand and paint the filled chair spots. It was then on to writing tutorials as I have so many projects done or on the go now. B stopped out at her usual time fed then helped me find Stella after I went and put the boys in the barn. Once she was found and tucked in garage B and C were off for home at 8 and I back to my tutorials. I headed to soak in the tub for a bit then showered and crawled into bed around 9:30. I finished the season of Instant Dream Home and started a new series called Designing Miami. S was home from the rodeo meeting and beer stop at OJ's after 10, showered and soon asleep.
