city day with the girls

So usually I wake up at 8 but since the time change it is now.. 7.. UGH  More marketing and posting pieces were my start before heading out to start another project. This is the grey wood table I had stenciled. No bites on it and seeing it is solid wood I decided to give it a new look. Hello Dewalt sander, how I <3 you.

After getting it all sanded down it was time to pack up and get ready to head to the city. I was off before 1 making a stop thru town at Tim's for a chai for the drive. It was fairly nice at -5 but always Chai time. It took 1 hour and 5 minutes to get to the girls place with the wee detour. Britt had the dresser in the kitchen and drawers out but had not removed the hardware. That was our first chore and sanded quick.

I got started on the drawer fronts and dresser body in dark grey while she painted the knobs warm white. It was not long before Kaylin's previous bright green paint job was covered. Remember her room was that color too ;)

Shaina was home trying to decide how to hang lights in her room. We did some different layouts as the first coat of paint dried. Eventually we put in the nails and got them hung.. pretty right?

The 2nd coat of grey went off after I fine sanded first and while it dried I helped Kaylin. She had ran to Strathmore to set up her new bank account and take Lexi to the vet but was now back. I trouble shot her TV hook up which drew Britt onto her bed to watch "The Notebook" playing while we hung her wooden arrows. Shaina made me a delicious tuna on cheese bun with a side of orange juice. Thanks lovey.

Not to fine sand the dresser, haul up to B's room and put the knobs on but not tight and let dry, success for first on site paint job. Your welcome B.

Time to load up and head to Home Sense and Costco. Such savvy shoppers these girls are, we had 3 carts loaded and paid for and reloaded in the cars after 6:30. Hugs and I was on my way leaving them my card to get gas before they ventured home with their purchases.

seems while I was painting, someone got ahold of my cell phone and snapped these beauties only to be found when I downloaded my pics ;)

Home by 8, unload all my groceries sort and freeze some and finish the tidy for tomorrows deep clean. Shower and crawl into bed with Riverdale tonight for a few episodes. :) Whew.. good night!
