TV unit gets color

The group of guys testing decided to start at 7 rather than 8 and get off by 4, this meant the Prince was bombling around at 5, a bit on the early side for me but perhaps he can become more organized for next few days and not have to rustle around so many times before leaving :)

As Britt was off to school, back to her late pattern it seems, I was buffing the jewel box. I put a 2nd coat of dark wax on and staged a few pictures to post and send the buyer. I love the Valentine red color, it turned out just like I envisioned it.

I spent most of the day in the garage scrubbing the TV unit, then sanding and wiping yet again before I taped the top all up to keep paint off (this will be stained dark brown). This body will be sprayed with a home made chalk paint in a creamy white, Kaylin's choice to match the coffee table I did her for her birthday. I plan to distress it a bit and maybe add dark wax to it as well like the tall boy dresser I did awhile back.
bottom always get chipped, here is the wood filler sanded
 and scrubbed and taped off
Once it was all good and dried, time to set it up for painting. Of course there are always issues, today's was not only paint consistency issues but Sheldon returning home early and opening the garage door mid spraying. Immediately a dog rushed in followed by a cat and chaos ensued trying to get them out while shutting the door. Finally the door was closed and after all pets out, I finished up the first coat then touched up with a brush all the dripping areas.
My APC rep from Ontario called to update me on a new paint line she started called Aspire. I may have to try it as it seems with her and Home Hardware no longer carrying APC, I might need a new source of chalk paint.
Sharon stopped quick for eggs, just have 4 more dozen to get to the girls in the city and my egg brokerage is over for another round. I had started hamburger soup at noon (Britt's request) and enjoyed about 3 bowls for supper. I then headed out to spray the last of my creamy paint on the unit and hand touch up any missed spots. This is cutting it close for sure and the end of this custom color.

Sheldon brought roses home to brighten the winter blahs, Thanks! He spent his time once home in the TV room watching shows. Britt worked yet again after school, on yet another long stretch but has now switched to the jetta being her car focus. I watched a few more Call the Midwife.
