new semester

Monday morning bright and early, time to wake up Britt to get her off to her new semester, last semester of grade 12! It was lightly snowing and still cold at -14. Sheldon ran over to Matt's who was hosting a politician for a coffee question period while I chose to stay home and get to work on my projects.

I scrubbed the hardware for dresser up yesterday, it was in sad shape for sure and today started the paint process.

I put a light cream color wash over the white for added dimension as shown on 2 left drawers, what do you think?

Sheldon arrived home from his political coffee, the only other guest to attend but enjoyed his meet. I was putting a top coat on the cream color. Not long after Britt and Grady arrived for their usual Monday spare break, seems even less class time this semester for them both! Grady brought us teas, THANKS Grady!

They watched a movie then joined us for a visit over lunch. I was back out putting another coat of top coat on the cream then painted the small end tables signature blue on the bases. Sheldon ventured out to try and lay the last few flooring sheets but is not sure if glue will work in this cold.

Once he was back in for a beer break I had him help me carry the dresser base inside then waxed drawers, reassembled and added the hardware. Then I was back out doing my magic finish on the end tables before coming in to join him for a cold beer!

He had supper ready for the barbecue and once cooked it was delicious, thanks!! I updated the blog while he ran a bale out to the ponies then it was time for another Marco Polo episode. Britt worked after school getting home late, and with a creepy note from an "old" man at the gym!
