904 - project day Wednesday

Day 904 I got a wake up text at 6 from Sheldon only to find it raining, by the time I was actually up it had stopped but had accumulated 2/10ths! I opened the gate for the horses to graze the hay field and threw on the turkey for soup to simmer all day.

Today's projects got underway.. I put old flour sack stripes on the blue coffee table and glazed it
then I tried a new technique on the solid wood desk.. applying stain right over the chalk paint
check out the difference it makes
 really gives antique finish
then I tried a new product for outdoor use, 3 coats
I waxed the desk a couple times, while all dried Shaina and I went out to trim the last 2 horses feet. Shaina was to work at 2 and had a very lazy start to her day only to find out she did not have to go in. She worked on baby with my help and I did KD.

Once finished we headed to the house where Britt was home from school, both girls helped me chop veggies and pick out bones for the turkey soup. We all enjoyed a nice warm bowl of the delicious soup for supper.

I took a few more photos then went out to work on the coffee table. I was not quite happy with the glazing so wiped it all off leaving minimal amounts for an aged effect. Craig stopped out to grab some speakers and salsa as the girls were putting the horses back in the pen. Baby eluded all but Craig called to say he whispered her into the winter pasture on his way out, YAY Craig!
