663 - "something I don't like"

Day 663 was a holiday, family day to be exact but not being able to sleep past 8 even lacking sleep last 2 nights does not make it feel like a holiday :-)

The computer issue had me up and figuring and interestingly all scans say nothing found and the internet now works but oddly slow and intermittent. I did google and found many people have had the same issue while on facebook and that facebook was recently hacked. GRRRR these people should put their intelligence into making games and machines of use not PITA viruses or spybots.

Once it was working, sporadically anyway, I did accounting which I have put off with my projects and tidy my desk. Sheldon continued his candy crush quest, I think he sees now how I was addicted. I made a rule for myself, not allowed to play today as too much on my list and it is back to work tomorrow.

Britt got up late again enjoying her last vacation day so celebrated with a piece of her lemon pie for breakfast. Well it is family day I guess!

The dresser was picked up and it was time to get back to my projects. Coat 1 of polycrylic went on and looking good. Sheldon worked on putting the last 5 chairs together seeing the success of our new kitchen table.

below is the bleed thru on the drawer fronts

He and Britt headed to town a bit earlier than her 3 pm shift to do some errands.I needed 220 grit sandpaper for my finish and a sealer for the bleed thru on the vanity paint. He kindly returned with them and a tea. It was a Roll up the rim cup but as per my usual luck I got please play again, this is something I don't like :-) That and a glitchy computer!

I gingerly hand sanded the finish on both projects and applied coat 2. Funny thing, last night I looked around pleased with my progress only to notice the mirror snuggled up against a chair completely missed in the painting assembly line! So today I taped up the mirror planning to paint it but think I will wait and see what it looks like in place, the finish is nicely intact and is similar to the top color but shinier finish of course.

my see thru paint and brush strokes that bother me
We scarfed down a quick supper of leftovers before I ran out to apply coat 3. Amanda and her family were popping out around 7.. well since Britt spent most of her time downstairs and then work,  Shaina is in Thailand and Kaylin is spending the w/e with Aaron we really did not have a family day so it was nice to have them. Sheldon ran to get Britt from work at 9 and after visiting and sampling her pie they headed home before 10.
Happy Family Day family and friends, hope you enjoyed the day.
