Tuesday marks the countdown to warmer weather. When I let Har out at 4 am, the temperature was a bone-chilling -27 degrees Celsius. It had dropped further to -28 degrees when I woke up at 7 am. I’m eagerly hoping that Thursday will finally bring an end to this extreme cold front.
Despite the sunny weather, the temperature was still bitterly cold. S spent the morning chatting with both his parents and my mom. I returned to work on the small table. I drilled pilot holes and affixed the toe caps, then sanded and clear-coated the top. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this will be the final coat.
Nathan had his oncologist appointment, and it went quite well. He’s written about the visit on his blog. Renn went to school to prevent spreading her germs to the cancer clinic and to give the doctor their undivided attention.
S headed to hockey after lunch, while I chose to work on the remaining tutorial while listening to podcasts. I simmered some soup bones in a pot. I also continued my Spanish lessons and worked on more Tantrix levels to keep my brain sharp, all while watching Netflix on my iPad.
B, who had taken today off, was out to feed with Cooper mid-afternoon. This gave her five consecutive days off, with only one day of vacation. After feeding horses, She took dogs for a walk, well not Har who had frozen paws and couldn’t make it far, unloaded some feed, then set off for home.
S arrived home just before 5:30 p.m. and had Chinese food for supper. He finished eating quickly and headed back to town for a rodeo meeting. I finished making my soup and then wrote today’s blog. I continued watching Apple Cider Vinegar until S was home around 8:30 p.m.
