Winter returns

The snow continued to fall, and the ground was well-covered in a pristine blanket of white. As I began my day, I picked up a book to read. I prepared coffee using our new coffee pod order, and S was up, making his porridge to have with his coffee. I enjoyed my yogurt and then headed to marketing.

I published my IKEA dresser tutorial  and shared it on various link-up sites, Facebook pages, and with the paint company. Now to the workshop, I sanded Kaylin’s desktop and applied a coat of oil based clear coat to the top side. I then brought the coffee table in and, while doing so by myself, accidentally dinged a leg against a wall corner. Fortunately, I was able to remove the mark with a soft scrubber. Now, it’s ready to be staged, but this step requires moving around a lot of things. The snow stopped around 11 am, and the snow that had fallen was starting to melt. S finally installed the new RO filters.

Seeing an opportunity for a new project, I pulled out a drawer from the curvy front dresser I recently acquired and applied stripper to it. While the stripper worked its magic, I went in for a bowl of soup for lunch. Britt and Coop were out as I scraped off the first layer and applied another coat of stripper. She finished up and headed back home to rest still feeling unwell after 1 pm.

I then carried over one of the nightstands and applied stripper to its damaged top. While it worked, I went ahead and placed the coffee table in position and snapped some photos. S continued working on computer tasks after tidying up the bathrooms. I managed to maneuver the coffee table downstairs without dinging it this time and rearranged the furniture back into its original place.

The stripper was scraped off the drawer, revealing the lovely wood grain underneath. It was scrubbed, wiped with a towel and left to dry. Now to do all the other drawer fronts.

In the city the Boysis family is cleaning and packing for their big move. Even Renn, who loves to clean is doing her share. XOXO

The nightstand was vacuumed, the top scraped, and the entire thing scrubbed clean and wiped dry. As the sun peeked through the mid-afternoon, it was time to take Harley for a walk. The snow was now all gone. S took his turn reading the library book in his big brown chair.

Supper consisted of leftover pork roast. While S watched hockey, I began working on the jewelry box tutorial. Once again, the book was passed back to me for reading in bed. Around 10:30, I decided it was time to take my Spanish lesson. Amanda had reached an impressive milestone of 1500 consecutive days! That’s dedication, right? Britt has the family bonus week, which includes AJ and me, so I took advantage of my free hearts and time bonuses. This is the first time AJ and I have encountered real people we know on the same level, and it’s us!
