Good morning, Friday! Hello, coffee. It feels like Sunday today.
It’s time to get back to work. I organized another giveaway to celebrate my anniversary and posted it on my business page as well as sending an email to my subscribers. I hope this one generates more interaction, and it certainly did right away. Afterward, I headed to the garage to open the paint box that arrived as we were leaving and see all the new releases and the paint colour I’ve been eagerly waiting for. S continues to assist Mom with a 50-year-old dimmer switch light system.
The Shaw technician arrived around 10:30 and began installing the new receivers and satellite. S helped him whenever necessary and also created a supplies list for the wood for a bench he’s making for Matt, similar to ours. I applied the first coat of paint and then worked on the blog while it dried.
We had a bowl of mushroom soup for lunch with S also having some head cheese. I returned to marketing, while S was on his laptop. The installation technician had finished and left at 1:30. S headed to town to pick up wood for Matt’s table, and I went to the garage to apply a second coat of paint to the dresser. I also painted the hardware gold because the black was not flattering with the warm white paint.
I made short ribs in the instant pot for supper, and wow, they were incredibly tasty! After supper, S washed the pots, and I posted yesterday’s blog post. I took Harley for a walk, but the injured hamstring guy stayed back to watch TV. Back to the garage, I sanded the dresser and applied a clear coat of paint to the top for protection. I also used the new gold pen to decorate the drawer edges. The gold is much brighter than the hardware, so now they all need to be redone in bright gold.
Inside, I crawled into bed and joined S. We started watching John Wick: Chapter 2. In my opinion, this one is much more far-fetched and hokey than the previous one, so I was okay with turning it off until tomorrow.
