The fog was thick, and the hoar frost on the trees added to the winter wonderland. A blanket of snow covered everything, and the temperature dropped to a bone-chilling -11 degrees Celsius. We started our day with coffee in bed, and then S headed to church while I continued my marketing work with my second cup of Joe. I also wrote a Hometalk tutorial for the pottery barn trunk.
I was organizing my garage tools and watering my garage plants (can you believe parsley is still growing in the garage?) when S arrived home from church before 11:30. He made a sandwich and settled into his big brown chair, catching up on his internet news while I organized my bathroom cabinet.
Lunch was had with me making a side pork sandwich, while S prepared another. He should be well-fed for a while now. It was time to begin the ceiling repair. S cut the ceiling hole square then cut a piece of drywall to fit said hole., We sourced wood from my work stash to create backing blocks. He took Harley to the shop to cut the wood into block sized pieces. I started filling the wall cracks by first scraping them flush and adding spackle to fill them. While they dried, I discovered areas on the main walls of the house that also needed filling.
We celebrated all our home repair work with a cold beer and a hockey game for S. As I was preparing vegetables for supper, S looked out to see a solitary coyote on the road, about 1/3 of the way to the gate, watching the house. Eventually, he meandered off.
After our delicious supper, we had a FaceTime meeting with Jarrod to review the bison numbers spreadsheet I had created. We headed to bed and finished watching the series Shrinking, and then S went to sleep. Before I went to bed, I watched another episode of With Love Meghan.
