12 year giveaway

Ah, another dreary day begins at the ranch. Where are you, sun? I woke up a bit later than usual, but I followed my usual morning routine. I perused the pretty pictures on Instagram, fed Harley and the cats, made a cup of coffee, and delivered it to the prince, who always sleeps in later than me. We chatted about the day and current events, then I got to work on marketing while he perused his favourite X feed.

As I was working on finishing yesterday’s blog, I reminded S about his doctor’s appointment for his toe, which was scheduled for 11:10 a.m. However, it was now 11 a.m. He jumped out of bed, got dressed, and rushed out the door, forgetting to drop the trash and the baby shower gift at Stout’s. I’ll take the later on a day when Sharon has time for a coffee. Now, I need to get a post made for my first 12-year Creative Moments anniversary giveaway.

B was out just before lunch to drop Cooper off. She’s heading to the city to celebrate her best friend, Amber’s birthday lunch. S returned at 12:30 with Chinese food for our lunch. After his doctor’s appointment, he had an X-ray to determine the cause of his toe pain, which S suspects is a toothpick.

While laundry continued, S and I folded and put away a couple of loads. This prompted us to go through Sheldon’s drawers and closet, where we purged a box of his clothes. Afterward, S spent some time on the internet, researching car oil, catching up on blog posts, and generally browsing. I continued with my usual housework and plant care.

Mom brought my little Mexican saddle up I hoped to use for Renn but it seems it needs allot of work to get back in useable condition as mice have ate the underside sherpa lining in places and peed all over it. I also need to check the tree as it was broken years ago when a friend tried to launch up in it at a gymkhana when B was using it.

Thankfully, the sun finally came out around 3 p.m. but still blustery. S went out before 4 p.m. to put 3 bison heads in the trees to let nature clean the skulls, as I had suggested instead of buying a steel pot or cauldron and using a blowtorch to boil them. While he was out, he also took down the snow fence in the horse paddock because it was becoming a hazard rather than a snow catcher at this time of the year. He was very kind and took the boxes of Christmas lights to the mez seeing he had the ranger driving around. He also took the poop wagon to the pit. I had to get his gun because he spotted a gopher!

He made a loop around the hay field and didn’t see any more gophers. He moved the coyote bodies farther away and then was back inside for a nap in the big brown. B returned home at 6 p.m. from her birthday celebration. She fed Cooper, horses and was on her way home.

I had forgotten to put on the round steak I had taken out yesterday. After a harried search, I found an instant pot recipe. However, despite all my efforts, I would recommend using round steak for soup because it’s just too tough. The veggies and gravy were good though. After supper, S washed up the pots while watching his Flames play on TV, and I vacuumed the main floor. Teamwork! :)

Checking in I found not 1 person has entered my giveaway :(. S moved to TV room to watch hockey. I finished up today's blog and headed into our room to watch Surface. S was not up until after his Flames lost in OT.  We started a new show called Hack your Health - the Secrets of the Gut. It was interesting but we shut off half way thru as both tired.
