Road trip to Medicine Hat

The sun was shining brightly and just below freezing. We enjoyed our coffees in bed, doing so I looked out the window to see that lone coyote crossing the middle paddock, heading south. S had a shower and went to town for his dental cleaning. I worked on marketing and blog posts while Harley’s food was delivered, so we are stocked up again. As I got ready for the day, I packed an overnight bag because we’re off to the Hat once he’s back home.

S returned after 11:30, and we did some last-minute things, including packing sausage and bison for Ma & Pa K along with Harley’s food. My paint parcel was finally delivered, so I can finally start working on the dresser once back. The car was filled with fuel. As we were loading Harley into the car, Britt and Cooper arrived at 12:30. She will be off to the city after feeding.

It was a beautiful, sunny drive east. We stopped in Brooks for a road beverage arriving in the Hat around 3 p.m. I helped Grama with Instagram, and S had a snack before we went to the hospital. Papa was just getting ready to head to the dining room for supper. He’s doing much better now, demonstrating how to get into his wheelchair with the help of the home care worker. S pushed him to the dining room, where we waited for his supper along with nine other patients. Candace and Reese arrived to join us at the dining table for a while. Once back in his room, S and I headed back to the house for supper of moose sausage and perogies that Grama had made. It was crazy because Papa had perogies and cabbage rolls for his supper.

S and Grama returned to the hospital at 7 p.m., while I took Harley for a much-needed walk. They returned after 8 p.m. I took apart and cleaned their Dyson power head, but it looks like the motor is blown. We watched some TV with Grama heading to bed, and then we headed down. We watched more Don’t Die, but we got drowsy before finishing again.
