Just another Sunday

It was an early start and a busy morning for me. I woke up after 7 and decided to get up, make my coffee, and start the day. I completed the marketing tasks, including sending all the photos of the dresser in the newly released colour to the company, and I managed to meet the deadline. I also had to resend the potato bin information because it seemed to have gotten lost. S was late to wake up, made his coffee, and perused his phone in bed before having porridge and heading to church.

I took a farther away photo of the dresser.

The dresser had the pulls screwed in place, then more wood filler was added to the drawer top edges due to some missed cat scratches. While the filler dried, I updated the furniture spreadsheet with details and products. I decided to redo the desk tray with a new colour and a new rice paper. I applied the first coat of the rice paper. In the meantime, I threw soup bones in the slow cooker for Harley, and she was sent out with the deer backbone she had been working on after eating her breakfast.

I uploaded photos and videos from yesterday and successfully posted them. S returned from church after 11:30 AM while I was working on the dresser again. He went to change the oil in the truck as I sanded the edges and repainted them. Afterward, I adjusted a drawer runner. This process took about 30 minutes, but I eventually managed to level and fix the drawer.

Feeling hungry, I had leftover ribs. S arrived around 1 PM and settled in with his laptop. He also had a plate of leftovers. I sanded the screw holes I had filled and applied the serrated crack tape to the ceiling repair. However I am not sure this is going to work but guess it is worth a try to save $300.

B was out to feed the animals as I applied a second coat of paint to the tray. I took Harley for a walk, as Cooper and her headed home to clean. The weather was quite unpredictable, with occasional blustery moments and sunshine. It was 9 degrees Celsius outside. Once I returned home, I scooped up more poop. S then went out to grade the road.

This is Shaina's plant she left in my care and was horrified I was lacking at my job so I cut off growing leaves and pulled up the big leaves after watering.

Now, let’s get back to writing the dresser tutorial. During a break, I watered plants. S was back in at 4 p.m. to take a nap in the big brown room. Afterward, he moved to the TV room. I spent some time organizing stuff in the garage, folding towels, and putting the washed coveralls in the dryer. I also touched up the desk tray and cut the rice paper to the desired size.

Inside I was back to working on the dresser tutorial, writing a product post for it on my page as well. S popped up to make burgers and fries for supper. I promo'd my paint giveaway ending tonight then moved to bed to continue Spanish lessons and start season 3 of Love is Blind. S was back to his hockey games but once over we did watch another episode of The Continental.
