Wall repairs done

My alarm rang at 5:20 am. It didn’t take long to get dressed in some comfortable pants, brush our teeth, and load the three of us into Shaina’s jeep. We hit the road in just 10 minutes later. We even stopped at Tim Hortons for a quick road tea. Shaina was dropped off at her departure door at 6:20 am, and we headed back home as the twilight settled in.

Back at the ranch, it was now 7 am, and going back to sleep wasn’t an option. So, we finished watching the season of Running Point. As I jumped into the shower, a light dusting of snow started falling. Time for our morning coffees and breakfast.

Our sweet little cleaner girl, I have offered to hire her with cheese in payment :)

I worked on the blog posts and a wall crack tutorial, which was done between more sanding and touch-up coats. UGH, the paint still seems shinier on the entryway repair, but Sheldon insists on leaving it as it is. I also loaded a pile of photos and videos on yesterday because S just received them from him today. So, if you want to see the tape applied, go back a day.

While he was on hold with Bell to cancel our satellite service, Friday our new Shaw system is to be installed, I spotted a fat little gopher on the driveway. He grabbed his gun and took two shots while on hold, and the second shot was successful.

I made a pot of mushroom soup for lunch. S had two bowls while on hold still, but eventually, the Bell termination was set in motion after almost an hour. After his bowls, S went and disposed of the dead varmint.

The sun was shining brightly now, making the day much better. S was napping on the couch while I sat in  big brown chair and typed today’s blog. B texted me to say that she tested positive for MRSA. A common ailment to health workers. Moore's always equine patients with it so most likely the root cause. This will require five days of treatment after her doctor visit later today. I managed to squeeze in some Spanish practice, usually trying to fit it into my daily routine. S woke up at 3 and returned to his laptop.

I took Harley for a walk to the gate and back, then fed her. It was time to prepare our supper; a bit earlier because it was rodeo meeting night. As the burger cooked, I made a new batch of taco seasoning. S chopped up tomatoes, onions, and lettuce. We enjoyed Taco Tuesday as always. Since he was the chairman of the meeting seeing the president was still out of town, S was off before 6.

I’m so grateful for our Dyson vacuum cleaner. It’s incredibly handy and works so well. I also love golden hour, which is my favourite time of day, especially from the outside. Inside however with this lighting, the house windows look awful dirty, and the hardwood floors show all sorts of hair, both human and dog. I grab the Dyson and quickly clean up.

I ordered Harley's food which is being delivered tomorrow then worked on the blog on our bed in the full sun. The window ledge also needed the Dyson’s help. I also watched more Love is Blind. B and Cooper were out for the horses supper then on their way well before dark now which is nice for her. S was home from his meeting and OJ's farewell for Renn the AG CEO after 10. We started Don't Die: The man who wants to live forever movie. We listened to his podcast with Jay Shetty previously. However this is an odd dude in the fact that he spends all day as a human guinea pig to live longer yet is he actually "living"?
