Busy Saturday

It was a bright, sunny early morning when I woke up at 7:30. It seems Renn and I have the same sleep schedule LOL. I read my library book. Once S woke up, I made us coffees to enjoy in bed. I jumped in the shower, and S followed suit. We then had breakfast and fed the pets. I quickly tidied up and hauled the drop leaf table up, ready to load it later.

At 11, I headed out to town. I stopped to drop off a box at the thrift store before heading to my facial peel appointment. It’s always nice to catch up with this young woman who was a school friend of Kaylin’s. After my appointment, I jetted home at 12:30. S had taken Harley for a walk since we had a busy day ahead. He also whipped around in the ranger looking for gophers. He had roast pork sliced for sandwiches, which we quickly devoured before our 1 p.m. workshop. I loaded the table and the painted desk board to take to the city.

B was out with Cooper to do horses things. She fed then lunged Roo and took her for the first ride of the year. At 4 p.m., we headed to the city. B finished up with horses then fed Harley and left shortly after us. We arrived at the Boysis’s home before 5 p.m. and were greeted by the hyper dogs and dancing Renn. She and I took the dogs for a walk, stopping back to say goodbye to her parents as they left for their date night celebrating Amanda’s birthday. The lady arrived at the planned 5:30 p.m. to pick up her table.

S and I loaded Kaylin’s car with the desktop, liquid glue, and Renn. We headed to her shop to install the top. It took a bit to clean up the oozing glue, but once it was done, we set plants on the tops to hold them down and went to the mall. I dropped my Saje diffuser off for them to troubleshoot it, while we ate supper at the mall. S had pho, I had a noodle bowl, sharing noodles with Renn. We didn’t plan well and didn’t have bibs, plates, or beverages, but we managed using a napkin as her plate.

We then picked up the diffuser and headed back to the townhouse for playtime and S to watch hockey. Renn had cheese, a bit of nan bread, and a “milkshake” - a supplement drink before her bath. We read a book, sang a few songs, and she was put down just after 8:30. She rolled and chatted to herself in bed with no fuss and eventually fell asleep. I did some Spanish and wrote today’s blog while S watched his Flames.

Nate returned home after 10:30 p.m. and joined S to watch hockey. Kaylin stayed out with Amanda to celebrate her birthday. Unfortunately, the Flames lost in overtime. We headed home after 11 p.m. and arrived at the ranch after midnight. I let Harley out, who went and found her bison leg. S fell asleep quickly, while I read until 1 a.m. before having to make Harley come inside and go to bed.
