Cooper care

I think even decaf coffee can be an issue when it comes to sleep. Last night, I had a hard time sleeping after having a decaf iced coffee with supper. I was awake at 7 am today after a restless night. There was a beautiful sunrise, though, as the constellation prize. I tossed and turned, then perused Instagram paint posts until I looked out and saw that the tools B used yesterday and left out were entertaining the horses.

I watched them play with the tools and use the broom on the shelter edge to scratch. I decided that the rakes could pose an issue, especially since they could step on them, so I went out to pick them up in my housecoat. I then watched Roo continue to rub her grazing mask along the shelter wall. Sure enough, she got it half off, so I got out of bed again and went to take it off.

S was up making his coffee by now and then headed back to bed. I made mine and joined him as we did our unlimited Spanish lessons. He had signed up for the trial too, it seems. I then got up and made a second cup for us both. I got onto marketing my tutorial, downloaded, edited, and uploaded the photos and videos from our Renn Saturday. S shocked the hot tub, changed the filters, and loaded a broken bale of hay from yesterday onto the quad trailer.

I went to the garage to work on the dresser. I applied stripper on the last two drawer fronts and as it worked its magic, I sanded, cleaned, and smoothed the edges of the others. S headed to town at 11 as Britt was out to feed. She’s on evenings again this week, so she’ll feed horses early and leave Cooper. She was then off to get ready for work.

S was back with Opa he had me order on the app after 12, ate then left for hockey. The weather had slowly turned grey and gloomy and now the wind picked up like crazy. I was back to work in the garage once I finished my wrap. So much scraping, sanding, wood filling ... repeat. It is definitely a labor of love wanting to give it new life. I then used bondo to repair a broken corner.

I came in for a ventilation break and wrote a Hometalk post for the IKEA dresser as well as made Pinterest posts. Then, I sanded the now-dry bondo as well as the top. By the time I was starting to paint the first coat of primer, S was home after 4 p.m. He went and harrowed the paddocks and winter pasture. I finished up the first coat of primer and came in before 6 p.m. It seems I forgot to get something out for supper, so pizza, hot wings, and dry ribs will be our meal.

S put the rotting layers of hay in the ranger and took to the pit while I watered the plants. After supper S was onto hockey and his Spanish. I went out and added wood filler on the dresser where needed now showing with first coat of primer as per it was sanded yet again. I posted yesterday's blog trying to catch up and caught up today then moved to bedroom to watch the new Surface and 2 Million Dollar Secret episodes. Cooper is spending the night as B does not get home till midnight.
