The pups went out at 7 a.m. Cooper spotted a coyote along the east fence line and warned me to stay away before coming back in. I spent the blustery, dreary day reading my library book. Once S woke up, I made our coffees. There was a few sprinkles of rain on the window.
Back in the garage, I got busy adding a second coat of primer to the dresser. I then returned to sanding the drawer fronts. At 11 a.m., my repeat customers arrived to drop off a family cabinet they want redone in navy.
S started drilling holes for the rebar in the bottle tree. A quick rainstorm rolled in for about 10 minutes, causing a short rain delay. I hauled in a rocking horse I purchased but think I’ll sell it as is. I may even sell the other rocking horse I have in the house too (at top) as Renn is not really fond of it.
B was out at noon, just missing the rain. She fed horses and took Cooper back home with her shortly after. S went in for lunch and news. I hand-painted the black lines on the drawer fronts and then stopped for some lunch. S had an hour + nap in his big brown recliner. I went back out to do the other drawer fronts, lines and the four curved edges. While I had a small brush, I cut in all the inner drawer edges as well.
Now that the painted lines were dry, I sanded the two drawer fronts to create crisp edges. Harley’s food arrived a day early, which was great because she only had two packages left. S woke up from his nap before 2:30 p.m. and went outside to put the bottles on the tree. What a dreary day it has been so far.
Later S ventured out with the skid steer, scooped up a load of dirt, and put it into the old hitching post holes and a badger hole. However, he couldn’t find the large swale along the fence line, so Harley and I went out to show him. Of course, the sun came out then, and my toque was a bit overkill. I opened the far west paddock gate, flipped the water trough, and got it filling after closing off the house paddock. It’s time to let this poor paddock get a break. S took a run around in the ranger looking for gophers while I was back at the dresser project putting salve on the drawer runners and other touchups.
I had S help me move the cabinet to the wash area and gave it a deep clean, man it needed it. S was back in to big brown to peruse his laptop. After everything was scrubbed I put cans on the warped drawer bottom and drawer dividers. I was then in to cook supper.
I watched Million Dollar Secret while S watched hockey and did Duolingo (he is obsessed) then he joined me to start a movie Called The Life List. However we both got sleepy before it ended so we stopped it to finish tomorrow.
