Today is Super Bowl Sunday, and there is a party at the Boysis residence. It’s going to be an exciting game between the Nathan’s Philadelphia Eagles and Brittany’s Kansas City Chiefs. Who will emerge victorious in this epic showdown?
Harley is having a bit of trouble opposite of Cooper wanting out at 1 and 4 am to do her business. We began the day with our usual routine but with a short snow squall outside. S moved the bison that needs to be stored until the girl arrives at the end of the month and a few bags of bones into the mez. Chaos ensued in the garage as I spilt a tub of soaking horse feed and ended up stepping in cat vomit. It’s just one of those days here. S headed off to church, and I finished yesterday’s blog and posted it with an iced coffee for motivation. Stuff was packed up to take to the party along with the bag of diapers I scored and some Valentine's gifts for Renny.
Poor Cooper is still not feeling well and had pooped on B's floor so she is not sure she will attend the football showdown later today. I jumped in the shower then began preparing our favourite mushroom soup for lunch. S arrived home from church and while the soup cooked he started plowing the road as a bit more snow lightly coming down.
The soup was simmering away while I washed up the pots and pans from the recent cooking sessions. Britt was out to feed her horses and took C for a walk. S stopped for a couple of bowls of soup before returning to finish the road. When done, B was in and finished off the last of the soup. Copper will remain in the kennel to prevent any further accidents. Once S was done, he took dogs for a short walk, we loaded the cooler with drinks, meat, bags of snacks, gifts, and diapers and headed to the city. B headed home but will return before she heads to the city to take him out and feed both of dogs supper.
We arrived before 2:30 PM and let ourselves in. Nathan and Renn were napping, so I cleaned out the dishwasher and sink. Sheldon put the bison in the freezer and secured the power cord system to prevent another power loss incident, which was a bad experience for them.
The halftime show entertained most people, but not Sheldon. However, Renn and I had a fantastic dance-off.
She and Kaylin headed up for a bath. They were back down after to give hugs and kisses goodnight to all. What an energetic little girl we have!
The football fans were intense, and poor B felt dejected until the final quarter when the score shifted from 0 for KC. In the end, Nathan’s team emerged victorious and won the game easily.
The party came to an end, and we set off for home shortly after Britt. I was driving, and everything was going well until about 5 miles from home when a snowstorm hit. There were whiteout conditions during that short drive, with the wind and snow howling fiercely. B had just finished letting the dogs out to pee and was about to put Switch’s blanket on when they were nowhere near the road for her to do so on her way out. S hit his laptop and turned on sports updates on a the island, while I watched a bit of the Morning show. Once S came in to bed, we watched a Bad Monkey and called it a night.
