Can it get any colder??

What a gorgeous sunrise this am but oh so cold. The polar vortex continues. -38 with -45 wind chill and a forecast it may hit -46 not including wind chill tonight!! Feeling like -56!!!!! What the actual hell!! Horses will need more oats today too. The poor garage floor heat runs full time an only 18. That is balmy for the cats I guess.

I spent the morning working on blog posts and finishing the ruler tutorial. S perused the net and caught up reading and proofreading my posts.

Please note that RED words (in the past blue) that may or may not be underlined, are hyperlinks. These links take you to another blog post or a webpage I wanted to share. These links do take time to add and wanted to make sure you are aware of them. There are many Palm Springs days that I hope you saw as they contain so many great photos and memories! But being a month ago the posts are far down the page.

I took the horses some beet pulp/feed mix with veggie scraps. The shrimp taco meal was cooked up for lunch. Britt and Dave arrived just as we were getting ready to eat.

Renn busy with Grandy's busy blanket

The boys started yet another crib tournament. Britt checked horses then relaxed on the couch. I wrote a Hometalk post for the vintage cedar chest. Britt and Dave headed to the city for date day before 3. They are taking in a movie and supper at the Keg.

I worked on more Palm Springs posts. Home day for the kids has lots of photos. THANK YOU to the girls, Nathan, Sheldon and Debby for their photos submitted and added to my posts. It adds to the memories for sure! S did a work out, first of the new year. He has been workout hiatus since Nov 30th and says he misses it. He may look into a gym membership.

The city girls kept warm inside playing Nintendo

After feeding the dogs we had a happy hour refreshment in the setting sun. We bundled up and took dogs out as we dumped about 6 gallons of oats and square bale behind the shop where the horses were hunkered out of the wind. They were very happy. Dogs were happy to go back inside.

I cooked us a tasty liver supper while s started a roaring fire. Hockey had all 32 teams playing today which kept S busy. I was wrapping up the Nixplay frame- my least favourite of the 3 I was reviewing to return when B and D stopped before 8 to pick up Cooper. They had a successful date but ready to head “home”.  We moved to bed to watch the Flames win. I watched more decorator shows on Netflix. After the win we both played the addictive brain game Flow till midnight.
