Big day, today we are off to Banff. After breakfast we loaded up Harley and our bags and set off. First stop was to drop Harley at Britt's just after 10. THANKS B!! We were too early to hit a distillery in Canmore so continued on to Banff. Banff brewing company was our first stop after parking. FYI parking is $5/hr and we saw tickets being handed out.
A short walk around before setting off to hike Johnson canyon. The weather was lovely. Perfect for a hike. It took 1 1/4 hours to get just over 1 1/2 miles to the upper falls. The trip down was faster putting on 3.7 miles. We had a refreshing beverage back at the car.

As we made our way back to Banff we stopped along the Bow river. The boys even put their feet in the water.
In Banff we checked into our hotel. Had a cold beer in the room then set out to find supper. Chilis was the chosen place. Tasty margaritas and Mexican food were enjoyed.
We then ventured downtown. Rose & Crown rooftop patio called our name next.
Then off to check a few shops and wound up at Anejo. A couple jugs of margaritas rounded out our evening.
June 1, we awoke to the forecasted rain. Apparently it was raining a bit at home too, yeah! After checking out, we had a farmers breakfast downtown. Lake Minnewanka was up next. Rain had let up and now overcast. This inspired a hike to Stewart canyon. This sun even popped out on our 2 + mile hike.

Looping around we stopped next at Two Jack Lake that was Sheldon’s favourite. The rain started again as we set off to another lake stop. Johnson lake was not as appealing. As we carried on, Elk were spotted by the road. Debby got her wish.
Canmore had us checking out a few distilleries. We even fit in a couple Qwixx games at Canmore Brewing. Grizzly Paw was just a drink with a view.
I was tempted to buy this for Father's Day; S likes this beer
Time to head east and pick up miss Harley. We arrived home around 7:30. Seems we had 1/10th of rain. Better then nothing for sure. Deb and Chuck ran to town and kindly picked up Chinese food for supper. THANK YOU. We rounded out our evening with a game of Phase 10.
