Rememberance day

Today is Remembrance day, lest we forget

A blanket of snow covered the ground and continued till after lunch. Time to get a cappuccino and get another coat of white on both magazine rack and the bread box.

While they dried I ventured out into the garage to get a few things and was side tracked by the little stool I recently bought. It was all wobbly and when I looked under I found the legs glued in with a rubbery glue. Grabbing the exacto knife I cut it all out and removed them to clean off the rest of the glue in the holes. This led to power sanding them and the seat, washing it all and brought in to add paint to the underside and then glue.

the magazine rack made a great weight for the glued stool to keep legs level while it dried

The magazine rack was touched up and sanded smooth then the bread box was sanded and distressed and the black lettering added. Once the snow let up around 2 the sun came out but it still was brisk outside. I was excited to think next week I will be a place much warmer ;)

Both cats crying at the door had me venturing to the barn with wet hair to check their food. Luckily it was right around freezing so not to bad and the little complainers still had some but I filled and headed back to the house with Lola racing ahead of me.
