Rain heavenly rain

I awoke at 7 am to the sound of rain!! So exciting and well needed and it kept up through the morning dropping over half an inch according to neighbor Matt. It let up around 11:30 so I could head out and pitch hay to the frisky wild ponies. The pasture was squishy and the road soft, all good signs right?

I finished up the coffee table blog and posted. The stool was dark waxed and left to dry as I made a quick run to town. I forgot to drop off touch up paint at Amanda's to take to Oyen for Spider's sideboard. I also left a box full of jumbo pickle jars for a gal using them for planters. The gal I got the table and chair from yesterday had a cute scentsy burner I picked up to for Britt's room. Dog food I picked up yesterday had to be price adjusted and I also grabbed a dish of Vietnamese for my lunch to eat once home.

Now the bench was somewhat dry I brought it in to assemble but found the new top showed the top edge. Back to the workshop, time to take it apart and paint the top edge, next I painted up the inside of Britt's new roll top desk her favorite color green. This morning I had tested the cream color on the drawer front when I made the touch up pot for Spider.

Now the edge was dry i sealed it and reassemble the seat and FINALLY able to stage the entire set. Once I got it all posted for sale it was only minutes before it was called and SOLD.. wow, the fastest sale and one of my favorite pieces.

Britt rolled in at 5 after her LAST day at Olds college. She hauled in all the remaining items to move back home. I did have to twist her arm to go toss hay to the horses while I worked on blog posts including finishing the grey quilt rack and the stack of laundry. I also finished the last season of Downton at midnight.. sad to see them go but great wrap up of the story. Of course I had to watch some Switched at Birth too before calling it a night.
