Britt was up and ready to leave by 6, she came in for a pep talk before venturing off on her big day. I went back to sleep and did not get up until 9:30... holy cow that was a good catch up on missing hours as of late.
I made some coffee but Sheldon had to run to town for a doctor appointment at 10. He brought back a tea for us. ;) A gal dropped off a rocker and stool to be painted after lunch. Sheldon moved the last 6 bales off the paddock behind the shop and took a run around the field on the quad on gopher patrol before he headed back to town. I had booked him a massage and acupuncture appointment back to back. The wind was back last night when we went to sleep and was still her this morning but by noon it subsided drastically and still hit 16 yet again. They are forecasting a mid 20 day Friday!!
I spent the afternoon scrubbing up the chair and stool as well as an antique chair I plan to paint. It's poor seats had most of the veneer missing so I had to soak and scrap the rest off and clamp the last layer while it dried.

Back from his appointments, we had supper and walked the dogs on a lovely night. Elmer took his gun along but not gophers ventured in our path.

Tuckered out, Sheldon was asleep by 9. I relaxed waiting for the B. She pulled in just before 10 pm, whew what a long day but a quick chat confirmed she was busy and had a great day. Not long and she was off to bed, tuckered after her very long busy vet work day.
