fogged in

Fogged in we are, Saturday. Girls were up surprisingly early as I got up to prepare for dresser pick up. Britt made chocolate chip pancakes for the girls, only burning the last few for her ;)
 brisk out
The fog delayed all my clients but by 11:30 they were all picked up giving me my main floor back ;)

The girls headed home and Britt got busy doing a good clean of her room and basement vacuum, yes it was part of the party deal but motivation comes in many forms. ;) I worked in the garage putting poly on the blue frame and entire dresser/drawers, putting the large chalkboard frame together (which was a huge challenge on the staple supply due to the homemade frame) and glazing the jewel box.
glaze going on the aqua jewelry box
Sharon's stool and the chalkboard assembled
Sharon popped over later to grab her stool I finished up, took it home to decide on the color and brought back two more projects she wants done in the same color.

For supper I was creative, chopping up fresh veggies and sauteing for a cream soup. HOWEVER once I added the cream it turned to a vomit pot, DAM! Plan B~ chop more veggies, roast and cook bacon for toasted BT sandwiches. While I cooked the second supper Britt walked the dogs to the gate, mainly in hopes of passing the trash Coco ate thru her sore belly. The day remained about plus 1 but a freezing rain started on their way back, brrr.
so this is how one prefers to sleep and the other (sorry hard to take thru a window almost directly downward but she is curled up in the snow by the door ;)
Another project I got underway today was a growth ruler. I again woman handled another 8 foot piece of lumber around and ran it thru the table saw. This was was even more awkward with one person and no saw horses to balance long end on and cut just 2 feet off, but I did it! Sand it, scrub it and put a coat of stain on to dry over night. Another coat of poly went on the full dresser/drawers, frame and this time, the jewelry box. A scrub up of Sharon's spice rack topped off my night so it to can dry before tomorrow!
Once finished in the garage and updated this blog it was time for a hot bath, I am aching everywhere and tired after the late night! Peace out peeps!
