1040 - coldest night of the year?

Day 1040 awoke to sun but -30. They say it was to be the coldest night of this winter but I beg to differ, there have been MANY freezing cold nights, many with wind. Just ask the horses, all other pets get a reprieve from it when cold but not them ;-(

Diego wanted out early so it was another regular up early day but enjoyed over coffee and tablet time! eventually the girls were up making scrambled eggs and tuna croissants. They even spent part of the afternoon cleaning their rooms, always a nice sight. Shaina was then off to the city to shop with friends and stay the night with Kaylin. Britt watched TV shows while Sheldon watched the Briar.

A blazing fire has ran all day so I sat by it enjoying Pinterest, while my little pumpkins cooked in the oven. I have had a pumpkin pie craving especially since Costco only sells them at holiday time. Britt cleaned her bathroom as I cleaned kitchen cupboards, while Sheldon made sausage supper which was a nice treat. The internet went down mid afternoon so we could only work :-)

Britt and I watched 4 hours of PVR Nashville while Sheldon watched a few hockey games rounding out our cold holed up Saturday topped off with pie.
