projects on the go

Britt and Sheldon were off by 6 today but in opposite directions. Coffee was needed today, perhaps because another dreary day or maybe cause of lack of solid sleeps ;) After getting some marketing and promotion done, I was out working on the end table. My plans are not panning out as planned after nearly 2 hours of hand painting.

Luckily cutting a 2 foot board in half was a success, good eye and sharp blade on the mitre saw. After sanding I gave it a coat of stain left to dry and got the lettering sketched out ready to go.

I began watering the grass seeded areas only to find the dogs don't really find the new fencing system a real deterrent and when shooed out they always take the wettest path out some leaving monstrous prints.

I also noticed my little Switch, who seemed to turn her ankle yesterday when putting her back out in her pen after our ride is dead lame! WTH, I had plans to finally take her to her first jackpot on Saturday, gosh darn it. I rubbed liniment on her leg and put MTG on her patch which still has not cleared up. My day seems to being going downhill, time for a fudgesicle.

Another coat of poly went on the end table and more tinkering and touch ups. I went and caught horses as Shaina pulled in just after her shift at 4, I took Hawk and Pepper and she her two. It was a good condition for all but on a time limit, we were back before 5. She hosed KD and caught Daisy for me then ate the steak supper leftovers and was off to the city. I hosed poor sweaty Hawk and let Pepper go before dusting Daisy and Baby with the powder. Of course they proceeded to roll and rain came a bit later ;/ and yes Britt, as per your note, I gave Bird her pill too.

Back in the house at 5:30, I found the Prince asleep on the couch.I actually did not notice him thee for about 5 minutes. Time to whip up some spaghetti and meatballs for supper, yum! I managed to get Sheldon to help me connect the sign together before he hand watered the corner edge of the grass and last wee area Britt missed mowing then back to relaxing.

Earlier in the day I scrubbed up a frame ordered for a blackboard so painted the frame's first coat of cream then hauled in the end table to stage and post on FB and Kijiji for sale. I finished the blog post for it but until it goes live on Country Chic's page, as usual I cannot post till then.

I caught another Good Wife and shut it off as Britt pulled in just before 11:30 after another long day with Dr. Ty!
