759 - 3 1/4" of rain

Day 759 was overcast when we awoke but the rain had stopped. Sheldon checked the gauge and it totalled 3 1/4" of rain in the last few days. That should start the hay growing when the sun comes out. I spent the day working on furniture projects. I even tried milk paint for the first time.

Mom came out about 1:30 enjoyed lunch with us and quick visit before making her way home after helping at Amanda's for 10 days. Shaina left for work for 2 to close. Sheldon made his task the new barbeque assembly. It even required a nap after lunch due to its complexity.

Sun came out at 3 Britt removed horse blankets and fed the two for me while I was painting. Brooke and Jarrid stopped to see the kitties as they are hoping to take one.

Around 5 I stopped to have a beer and update the blog when I saw the horses out. Britt and I spent the next hour catching them and repenning them then sorting them into their appropriate paddocks so the winter pasture could grow after this recent rain. We also found a mouse while checking mineral tub so were entertained by the getting the cats to come fetch it up, even Diego gave his hand at helping herd it to them.

Just before 7 we headed to town to meet my good friend Tracey and her family who were here playing ball. We made a quick stop to grab supper at Edo then went to the baseball diamonds. We managed to catch the last of the game then went to their hotel room to visit. It is always nice to catch up with old friends. Hannah was dropped off and her and Britt went to try and see grad dresses with no luck and to walmart before returning to pick us up and take us home at 11.

Shaina and Shannon were home from work but got dressed and had Britt take them to the station and pick them up later. Britt's license really gets used lots :-) Shannon and Hannah stayed over.
