Another table complete

I woke up early, expecting Cooper at 7, but he didn't show up. I browsed Instagram until S woke up, and then we had coffee together. I took care of Har, administering her pills and treating her face. S left for Matt's around 9:30 to fix a water leak. I completed yesterday's blog post, adding some excellent videos that are a must-watch. While doing my Spanish lessons, I enjoyed my morning yogurt fruit bowl.

I started the laundry before going to the garage to work on the magazine table. I applied another dark coat of brown paint, waxed the stained areas, and let it dry. S returned from work at 11:30 and spent some time reading. Meanwhile, I packaged Harley's broth and continued with the laundry in the garage.

I wrapped up at noon and started making our favorite mushroom soup. S assisted by washing and chopping the mushrooms. I enjoy growing herbs in the garage, although they might need more sunlight. This is the simplest and most delicious soup recipe. I recommend trying it if you haven't already. We savored our bowls; S, as expected, had two larger ones.

S left for hockey at 1 PM. The day began sunny but turned dreary and overcast, with a breeze and a temperature of 15 degrees Celsius. The art easel has been sanded, waxed, and is now finished.

Harley and I went out to inspect Roo's injection site as B had asked. I examined my tubers in the tack room refrigerator, although I'm still uncertain if they will thrive. I harvested and cleaned the last of the carrots from my garden. Then, I took a moment to update my spreadsheet and switch the laundry. Since the horses needed water, Harley and I walked them to the winter pasture gate and secured it, making it easier for Britt to feed them tonight.

After returning from our walk, Harley finally ate her breakfast, which now served as her dinner. I let her outside with a knuckle bone to spend an hour knawing on.

The sun emerged at 4 pm as I brought the small magazine table inside to set up for photos. S returned home after 4:30 from his regular hockey / coffee gathering. He brought home a rotisserie chicken for dinner, complementing the elaborate salad I prepared, creating the perfect meal.

While S went to Matt's to ensure the morning's repair wasn't leaking, I worked on my Spanish lesson. Once back he read while laying in bed.

Britt left before 8 am to tend to the feeding. After treating Harley, I was listing the small table for sale when she called, frantic that Roo was lame. I rushed out with the hoof testers and her veterinary kit. Dr. Ashley, on the phone with her, suspected an abscess. I hurried back to the garage for hot water and Epsom salts for her to soak Roo's foot. Then, I returned once more with a jug of water to mix Roo's medication and took the opportunity to refill the cat's water. Back inside, I continued listing the table as she bandaged Roo's foot and prepared the stall for her overnight stay.

She and Cooper went to assist Dave with administering IM medication to a horse after his return to Calgary at 8 from his NYC trip. I came in, gave Harley her medication, and cleaned her face. With the lights out, I quietly watched real estate shows on my iPad while gently tickling his back. I then started a series called My Life with the Walter Boys. This was the show filming at the Chestermere school awhile back we passed.
