The winds roared throughout the night but calmed down when Har needed to go out before 7. They picked up again as we woke for our coffee, yet surprisingly, it was a warm 9-degree breeze that lasted the entire day. S had his breakfast and left for church, while I went to release the horses. Afterward, I returned to clean the bathroom cabinets and do laundry, discarding and donating more items.
S came back with teas and had his lunch. He then went to attach the travel trailer at the approach and drove it to the fellow's storage spot, post-laundry folding. I enjoyed a bowl of soup doing my Spanish lesson (18 days in a row!) and resumed my cleaning and laundry tasks.
Britt and Cooper ventured out before 2, with the temperature at a pleasant 17 degrees. She fed the horses and rode amidst the hurricane-like but warm winds. My deep cleaning continued, moving on to our closet, sorting through travel items and jewelry, filling a large bag with clothes for the thrift store, another for the homeless, and adding more to the Christmas bag for teens.
S returned home around 3:30, in need of a nap in the big brown chair. B and Cooper went home, and I proceeded to polish some silver. It's fascinating how this metal can transform from dull to lustrous.
