Snow arrives

Harley was active last night, stepping out for a quick bathroom break at 3:30 am and then off to the garage. Before 5 a.m., she began barking intensely, which was unusual, so I let her out briefly before returning her to bed. We were awakened by Sheldon's phone, which chimed repeatedly as the temperature hovered around -2°C and the weather was dreary. Coffee in bed became a necessity while he responded to his 12 bison buyers. Eventually, he moved to the island for porridge and to tally on his laptop.

someone stole Daddy's breakfast

this video was from Friday I forgot to share, Renn is telling me the flash cards.. wait for it

I dressed warmly and faced the hurricane-like winds to tend to the horses. With B away, I decided not to attempt masking Roo, opting instead to leave her in the diet pen and the other three in the distant paddock and winter pasture. They all ran about, likely to warm up, before settling down to eat once more.

Harley ran this close to the deer then veered off not sure what to do

Back in the garage, I applied another coat of golden pine to the desk pieces and wiped them down after a while. The dresser received its first layer of dark wax to seal the stained top, which I buffed once it dried. Then, it was time for my yogurt bowl and some attention to the plants.

S had the leftover lunch, then loaded the hockey equipment and left for town by 1 PM. I grabbed a tea and worked on tutorials and blog posts. The snow was just light flakes this morning but is now coming down much more heavily. I posted the stenciled crate tutorial and shared it in many places. Harley's food was ordered. Then, I finally finished and published yesterday's blog post. Next up was accounting.

I returned to the garage to stage the dresser for some photos, which required tidying up both there and inside the house. After the photos, I buffed another coat of wax onto it. The wind had died down, but it was still a chilly -1°C, so Har and I went outside. I loaded hay into the ranger and took it to the horses. I checked the cat food for the mezzanine, but they were not around. While there, I wrapped the potato boxes in the insulated tarp. S returned shortly after 5 from his hockey/coffee day, hit the big brown chair with a beer and his phone.

I resumed working on tutorials and also posted a Hometalk was posted for the stenciled crate. Dave brought Cooper out around 6:30 for his routine business, then spent about an hour having a beer with Sheldon before heading home early with Cooper, after dropping Britt off at the airport at 4 am. We ended up having leftovers for a late dinner around 8. After completing my computer tasks, I relaxed in bed finishing the new season of  "Emily in Paris," while S enjoyed his sports.
