The day began sunny, with a stronger cup of coffee than usual. S was outside defurring himself in sweatpants when Dave and Cooper arrived. I helped with his back, and then Dave stopped for a quick visit in the sunshine before heading to his barn. Cooper stayed with us.
I finally got all the photos, videos, and the Thanksgiving blog posted while S searched for a concrete hole saw. Unfortunately, the wire he ordered last week didn’t arrive, delaying that step. I had another computer glitch with the Mac, so I was chatting with customer support when Kaylin arrived around noon with her Chinese food lunch after her doctor’s appointment. S was having lunch and watching the news. We had a great chat about the wedding plans so far while S napped in the big brown chair. Then, clouds rolled in, and the wind picked up.
S woke up and ran the skid steer to Matt’s just as Nathan arrived to pick him up and bring him home. Nathan dropped the Easterners at the airport then kindly brought Shaina's jeep out to park here till next visit. I had a bowl of soup, and Nathan had some Chinese food. Beans came along for the ride and was stoked to play with Harley. We talked more wedding plans until K and N headed back around 2. S went to fill the trench partially to be safe for Matt’s kids. I let the three horses out with the dogs and then got back to chatting with Microsoft to resolve computer issues. It smelled smoky outside, perhaps causing the overcast skies.
Back on the computer with Microsoft support to get the Office apps working. It took until 4 to get everything deleted and re-uploaded after the guy removed one, but everything was working now. S came home from “work” ready for a cold refreshment.
We had leftovers for supper and then took the dogs for a walk in the golden sun, out the gate, checked the mouse traps, and returned to the house to enjoy a beer on the deck. What a beautiful evening with the sun back out, no wind or many bugs, and a high of 22 degrees.
Once back inside, S watched hockey on the big brown chair while I tidied up my iPad app lists then did some Duolingo Spanish lessons. He fell asleep, so I moved to bed to write today’s blog. When he woke he came to bed to peruse the net while eating his yogurt bowl then snooze. Britt and Dave were out to doctor Basil’s leg. They sequestered him in the stall for the night and headed home after feeding him around 9.
These are photos & videos Shaina took while here submitted to share on the blog :)
