S goes hunting

Last night was exceptionally quiet, save for Miss Harley's occasional snoring. I briefly woke up at 6:30, then again at 7:30 when Cooper was let in and promptly jumped into bed. I didn't fully wake up until just before 9, when he leaped out of bed. I started the coffee, fed the cats their soft food, and let the dogs out. After my next cup of coffee, I did some marketing, then bundled up to release the horses into the winter pasture.

Poor Renn was still under the weather spending the day at home just wanting to snuggle her Mom

But good news they have a save the date design ready to go out.

Once back inside, I packed up the last of my dahlia bulbs and set them outside in the cool 1-degree weather. I suspect my warm garage might quickly dry them out. Next, I began writing a tutorial for Joanne's antique accent table, which I plan to share next week.

At noon, I made a quick trip to town to pick up creamer, beer, a library book S had ordered, a coffee table, some groceries, and cat food. On my way back, I picked up a rice bowl and iced coffee to enjoy at home. While eating, I completed my Spanish lesson and then resumed writing tutorials. I finished the one for the blue dresser, wrote another for the rice-papered wine basket, and made progress on the custom dresser tutorials. All the while, I wrapped up the Blue Ribbon Baking season.

The dogs were restless, so I decided to take them on a long walk. Once back home, I placed the box of dahlia tubers in the tack room's bar fridge, setting it to super low in the hope that it would keep them cool without freezing. I'll need to consult the electrical expert when he returns. A quick text at lunch reported no skunks encountered, but they were heading out again after eating.

The horses have been peeling the bark off the logs it seems

Next, I tended to the indoor plants but paused when the customers arrived to pick up their dresser and chair. After they departed with their items, I resumed caring for the plants. Then, I vacuumed the main floor. Since S wouldn't be home until later, I made a pot of mushroom soup and was enjoying a bowl when Britt arrived before 7:30. She fed Bird and put the horses in their paddocks before joining me for some soup.

Upon leaving, Britt noticed a parcel at the gate. I retrieved it, knowing it was a paint package from Fusion, containing new paint colors and a new stain shade, which was timely given the chilly 4-degree weather.

Renn had a 3 hour nap this am and was super cranky around supper so they put her to bed early but she woke up around 9:30 and this was her moos now after sleep and Motrin. LOL Gonna be a long night ahead.

After wrapping up my kitchen and computer work I moved to bed and started a new Netflix show called Chef's Table - noodles. I was on episode 3 in Italy a place I would love to go especially now I would have to go to this restaurant when S got home at 10. He enjoyed some soup and pudding before crawling into bed. We watched part of an episode of 'Lincoln Lawyer,' and he fell sound asleep, so I returned to watching my show about noodles.
