There wasn’t a single drop of rain, nothing - nada- zilch! It is so sad for our hay and grass. The sky turned smoky and overcast again, but there was some sun later in the day once the smoke cleared. My morning was damp dusting. The open windows and the general ranch living environment created a layer of dust everywhere, and that, combined with corso slime, made it quite unpleasant. S worked again on the swather this morning.
S spent more time on swather repairs before reading then soaking in the hot tub. I read and wrote today’s blog on the bed as the strong winds blew and the temperature reached 23 degrees Celsius. Before 3:30, B and Cooper were out. B took the afternoon off work, as it is Amber's stagette weekend and she has bridesmaid duties. She rode her horse before heading out.
I took Harley for a walk, and Cooper joined us even though he had already done a couple of laps around the perimeter with his mom while S vacuumed. Afterward, he surfed the internet. B asked for an iced coffee because she saw me with one on my walk. She was gathering sleeping bags and other things for her big weekend while the horses ate.
Stouts arrived around 5:30 p.m. Sharon had brought a spinach dip and bread to enjoy with a cocktail before we headed off to the city after 6 p.m. We found front-row parking and close-to-front-row seating (no one wants that at a comedian), and we had many laughs at The Laugh Shop. We also had a couple of beverages with our meal, which wrapped up before 10 p.m.
We returned home at 10:30 p.m. as they jumped in their car to head home because they’re off to a wedding tomorrow. I took the dogs out to pee and check if Cooper would eat, but no luck. S was already tucked in bed surfing the phone before sleep. I read until after midnight and then went to bed.
