I heard Renny awake just after 7, so I got up, while Shaina—who had set an alarm to watch her— headed back to bed. Renny and I went upstairs and settled into the swinging deck egg chair with our morning coffee. Grandpa joined us a little later, entertained by busy bee Renn.
Once everyone else was up and moving, we headed out for a good hike down to the marina and back, although Nathan stayed behind today as he wasn’t feeling well. By the time we returned, everyone was ready for brunch.
It was another hot and smoky day, so the pool was the obvious place to spend the afternoon. We cooled off, relaxed and worked our way into some Jenga time—always good for a little laughter and friendly competition.
Cards rounded out the evening. Nothing too complicated, just good food, family, plenty of time together and a warm summer day spent enjoying all the little things. Those are the days that seem to slip by quickly but end up being some of the best memories.

Looks like a nice 'resort' all to yourselves! Also looks like a lot os smoke.I turned my sound all the way up on the video but couldn't make out what you were saying ;-(
ReplyDeleteIt was lovely and yes varying amounts of smoke. The poor people that live there have it way worse than our short visit. Sorry about the video, sometimes they are more of just the video than words ;)
