I woke in the night to wild winds—and they were still howling at 7:14 (right on schedule) when I opened my eyes. Coffee in hand, I passed the morning with a few “find-a-words” on the Tim Hortons app while S scrolled on his laptop.
With another coffee, Robby’s wedding post—published. ✔️

Harley’s food arrived, which meant a quick dash outside when I realized the yard gate was closed. Open gate, grab delivery, stash it in the fridge, close everything back up—done, all in hurricane-level winds.
B popped out briefly to feed, left Cooper with us, and headed into Calgary. I used the time to finish Monday’s blog while S napped in Big Brown.
I moved Renn’s kitchen downstairs, then took a quiet break reading on the bed. S eventually woke, scrolled a bit more, then—shockingly—headed out to the hot tub, claiming there was “no wind right there.” Sure. 😄
Safe to say, no dog walk today. Total opposite of yesterday’s weather.
I fit in a 30-minute Pilates stretch ✔️, fed the dogs, and settled in while S bounced between his laptop and playoff hockey. I passed some time with brain games while the sky threatened rain that never really came—just the odd spit against the windows.
B was back from the city before 6, grabbed Cooper, and headed home. I called S up from the sports room for spaghetti supper, then he disappeared right back downstairs for more hockey.
I wrapped up the evening finishing Season 10 (and the reunion) of Love Is Blind on Netflix, calling it a night just as S came up from yet another overtime game.
Windy, low-key, and productive in its own quiet way.
This crazy weather. High School rodeo cancelled. Cheryl and I had all deepfreezers full. Gave the lettuce, tomatoes, green onions and sour cream to The Lodge, Began selling eggs. Sold two flats. We have 40 dozen buns in the freezer. Nothing till mid May
